Here is the formula as far as how much weight it can tow
7000 LB coupler minus the weight of the Dolly 500 LBS minus a fudge factor of 10 LBS is a (6490 LB Vehicle on a horizontal pull
Dolly has a 3500 LB Axle minus a 500 LB Dolly minus a 10 LB Fudge factor is ( 2990 LBS can sit in the cradle) Pretty big car,
Note the reason we stock our dolly's with brakes is because there is a Federal Law which states when your load is 3000 LBS you must have Brakes, If you have noticed that the Trailer Manufactures recognize this, that is why they label there trailers at 2990 GVW look at their ID stickers on single axle trailers that have no brakes on them, Therefore we have brakes to satisfy this LAW, And most of our customers travel, so there is a must for this !!!
Also Our Dolly's have steel fenders, This is because in the past we had Dolly's with the plastic fenders, Due to the tremendous road vibration, they would have a tendency to fall off over time, this is the reason for the steel fenders
